RUGBY.
FOURTH OR ADR CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTATION OF SHIELD. Last night at the end of the year; ceremony of the Halvera High School,; the champion shield for fourth grade; players, won by the, school first fifteen,: was presented to the captain of the team by Mr. John Goodwin, vicepresident of the Taranaki Rugby Union. Speaking to the team, Mr. Goodwill expressed his pleasure at: performing the ceremony, and complimented the high school on its success. Mr. Gray congratulated the winners 1 and the runners-up arid said that the, behaviour of the team's met by his hoys; had been most excellent on and off the field. He added that so long as the-' teams were of such good, material there was no, fear for the future of the game. He thanked Mr. Goodwin for making the presentation and for his continued interest in the game. 1
