Results were:— PIRONiGIA HURDLES. Of 110 so vs. 14 miles. 1 Iligliflown 1 0 Galady 2 4 Lady 'Spalpeen. 3 iScratched: Archangel, Ter ape on, Areheen, Ah Wera, and Kawalcawhi. Won by a length and a quarter, a length Between second and third. Time, 2.44. KTHIKIHI HANDICAP. Of 110 sovs. Seven furlongs. 2 Plying Juliet 1 6 T’e Koroke 2 ,1 Macroom 3 Also started: Waltzer, Takutama, Le,itrim. ‘Won by a length, half a length between second and third. Time 1.28.

AWAMUTU CUP. o'f 300 sovs. One and a quarter miles. 1 Desert Glow .'J 1 6, Siaosi 2 3 The Lover 3 Scratched : Mint Leaf and Wenday. Won by a neck. Time 2.7 1-5. TROTTING. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 15. The Brighton Trotting Club’s meeting was held to-day in fine weather. The course was holding. Results were: TRIAL HANDICAP. Of 120. sovs. 14 miles. 3 Bramdoan , I 5 Waiata Poi 2 IS Brent Boy 3 All started. Won by three lengths. Time, 3.42 2-5. IMPEOYER'S ’ HANDICAP. Of 130 sovs. 14 miles. 1 Danny Boy 1 9 Audrey Dillon 2 11 Nancy McKinney, 3 iScratched: Star Lady, Prince Ardo, Adoreo. Won by- a short length, four lengths between second and third. Time, 3.38. MACE MEMORIAL. Of 350 (sovs. Two miles. 9 Firpo 1 8 Kotuku Jack 2 6 Shadow]and 3 Scratched: Sahib. Won by three lengths, one length between second and third . Time, 4.40 1-5. lIA WERA TRAOK NOTES. (By “Limited.”) A cold blustery Avind made matters unpleasant on the course this morning. The outside of the course proper was open for fast work and was in firstclass order.
J. Brown was first out with Silvermine and Llanore, the pair going from the proper six furlongs post. Llanore jumped off smartly and led for a couple of furlongs, Silvermine from then on having an advantage to the winning post in 1:20. iSilvermine’s performance was an attractive one. Benzora and Vivo started from the seven furlong pegs, running the first half-mile in 52sec. Benzora tva s pulled up after going another furlong and Vivo continuing on, rail out her seven in 1.38.
'San Fera was allotted pace work on the sand. -Callapat and Bright Glow were companions over five furlongs, Bright Glow finishing a shade in front in 1.7 3-5. Bright 'Glow is in excellent nick for her Railway Handicap mission. Mr Bublitz’s maiden Airway went three furlongs by herself in 39 2-ssec comfortably. Airtight and Golden Flower ran five furlongs, finishing together in 1.9 3-5. Boundary ran over the same .course bv herself in 1.10.
‘ Latakia did good pace work, finishing with a sprint up the straight. Mendip and ‘Paitomi went a good work out over six furlongs, with Mendip showing to advantage in 1.23. R. Brough’s three-year-olds iCorwen and -Egcria were associated over five furlongs. Egcria led most of the way, but Conven hung on .gamely and finished half a length in front in 1.6 3-5. Richfield and Havering set off together over five furlongs. Havering worked sluggishly and Richfield beat him home easily in 1.9. Cool-mint ran by himself, going four furlongs in 53sec. Reremoana beat Flying Binge by a couple of lengths over half a, mile in 52sec.
Tenacre and Mr Williams’s Bicona filly finished on even terms over three furlongs in. 39sec. Royal Acre and Royal Mint went from the mile post, being joined by Kali a at six and Grand Mariner at three furlongs. Royal Acre finished in front of Royal Mint over the mile in 1.53. Kaha finished in front of both of them, running his six in 1.25.
