MONEY FOR SHEEP FARMERS

The total pay-out for the first Auckland wool, ■sale on November 26 and) 27 was £495,876 for 21,991 bales sold. There were 22,267 hales offered. 'Hie price per bale averaged £22 11s, the average per lb being 15.64 pence.
VOTED TWICE.
WELLINGTON, Dec. 13
After having voted as an absentee at one booth on election day, Alfred Grisedale went to Kelbnm and recorded an ordinary vote at the booth there. When seen by the police, his excuse was that he was advised by his friends that- he must vote at Ivelburn. He had acted under a misunderstanding. He had not voted in New Zealand before.
To the Magistrate the returning officer .said that he had no reason to doublt the accused’s explanation. The accused was committed to the. Supreme Court for sentence, hail being allowed.
NEW ZEALAND' TRADE FIGURES.
WELLINGTON, Dec. 13
For the period of eleven months ended November, 1928. New Zealand imports totalled £41,463,657 and the exports- £51,805,163, as compared with £4O, 833,748 and £43,097,870 respectively for the corresponding period in 1927. The imports during November, 1928, amounted to £4.748,374 and the exports to £3,359,533 as compared with £3,561,474 and £2,837,875 in November last year.
