FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT

A motor accident, occurred in Taita j Gorge at an early hour this morning, •Joseph O’Neill, aged 86, of Taki Street, j Miramar, being killed. A taxi was coming from Trentbam to Wellington and went over a- thirty-loot bank. Another passenger, whose* name is unknown at present, received cuts on the face. The driver, Ernest AY a Iters Sergeant, was badly shaken but was otherwise unhurt. MOTOR. CYCLIST HURT. WELLINGTON, Dec. 3. Alexander Johnson, aged 28, a labourer of AYhiteman's Valiev, received a compound fracture of the right leg when he collided on a motorcycle with a car at Silverstream on Saturday.
