WELLINGTON, Dec. 3 Parliament will he opened at 2.30 o’clock to-morrow afternoon by Commission. The Commissioners appointed by His Excellency the Governor-Gen-eral are the Hon. Sir Walter Camcross, the Hon. Sir Francis Bell, the Hon. Sir Heaton Rhodes, and the Hon. Sir William Hall-Jones.

The magisterial recount of votes cast in the election for Bay of Islands has resulted in the return' of Mr. H M. Rushworth (Country Party) by'two votes, the totals being: Rushworth 3820; A. Bell (Reform), 3818. ’ The state of the parties is now given as: ” Reform 28 United 27 Labour 19 Independent 5 Country Party 1
