A thirty-six .hole stroke competition professional golf championship of New South Wales has entered upon the semifinal stage at tlip Australian Jinks, Ken - sington, to.-day. A\ r . J. Clark, holder of the State title, defeated F. Popplewell, the open champion of Australia, by three and two. Lie tried conclusions to-dav with Don Spence, the young Leura professional. Spencei eventually won in great style by two and one." The other semi-final was between Frank Eyre and Arthur Spence. The latter won two up. The finals will be played on Saturday. <—
