A series of efforts have been made by the committee of the Hawera Municipal Band to swell the contest fund. These have included euchre tourneys, and one of these tourneys will be given by the committee in the Scouts’ Hall to-morrow (Tuesday) evening. There will he valuable prizes for competition, and the promoters are looking forward to a large attendance.
