There was a large' attendance, but the* totalisator investments- were less than last A’ear. To-day £14,876 was handled { on the first day last year the amount was £15,433. HEAVY NOMINATIONS. The summer meeting of the Woodviille District Jockey Club' promises to be a. good one from every viewpoint. There are no loss' than 409 nominations for the fourteen races over the two days, an average of 29 per race. The handicaps for the first day wil\ be declared on Monday, December 3, acceptances being due on the Friday following at 8 p.m. A,s Woodvilli? i.s recognised as one of the best country courses in the Dominion, the club may anticipate a successful meeting.
