STUD MERINO SHEEP.
PURCHASES ON BEHALF OF RUSSIA. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegrai# Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) Received 11.5 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, Nov. 28. A shipment of two thousand Merino sheep leaves for Russia this week, including six hundred first flock ewes from Mr. Falkiner’s Haddowrig station, and seven hundred from Mr. Donald Grant’s Bairnkine stud. The purchase was made by the Textile Import Company, one of the biggest wool haying organisations in Russia, which has already bought freely on the Argentine, Australian, and New Zealand wool markets, and for some years has been importing stud sheep from Argentina and the United States.
