COW JUDGING CONTEST. There was evidence of. good work in the cow judging contest at the Egmont Show, the results of which are now a-avriab’.e. The winner was D. Hay tor, Mamaia District High School, with 85£ points. R. Hammonds, of Manaia, was second with 804 points and T. M. Guy, Hawera High School next with 77. The meximum points obtainable were as gelow:—Head 8, neck 5, body 27, tail 2, udder 28, teats 7, milk veins 3, colour 3, skin growth 3, appearance 10; total, 100. • The awards made were as below: —■ D. Hayter.—6, 3*, 20, 1,), 21, 5,2, 24, 3*, 24. 8; total, 854. R. Hammonds.—6, 2 4 , 23. 14, 25, 5, 2,2, 34, 2.8; total, 804. T. M. Guy— 6. 3, 23,* 1, 23. 5,2, 24, 2.), 2,7; total, 77.
