The messengers resisting, the bandits fired from pistols and tore the pouches from the messengers’ bodies. They .then re-entered the taxi and dirove off at a furious rate.
The crowd at first thought it a “stunt” for the cinematograph, bat found a messenger named Loudier, aged ti(i dead, and the others seriously injured. The bandit's scoured £3OOO. Latest reports state three of the 'bannits wore captured near Avignon.
