MEETING OF HAWERA EXECUTIVE
The monthly meeting of the. Hahvetra Blanket Society was hold in the- Plunket Rooms on Tuesday afternoon. There was a very good attendance of members, and Mrs Winks occupied the- chair. For iai long time past it had been the feeling of the committee' that the. district had been too large and the committee had been negotiating to make other a.rramgoments- for Opunake. These hatyc now been completed, and Opunake will im; future be served l frotm Stratford. This will allow the; nurse .to' be at the Plumket Rooms at Hawera every Monday afternoon. The nurse’s report for the l month was as follow: — New cases: Hawera- 27, outstations 11, total 28;' attendance at rooms: Hawera, 749, outstations 291, total 1040; nurse’s visits to homes: Hawera. 208, outstations 75, total 253. The committee authorised Mr Jobson to .sell the present car and to buy ai new one. i
Accounts ■amounting to £SS were passed for payment. The following subscriptions were rer ceived: M-esda'me® A. Corry 10s, Walker 'ss, G. Breeee ss. The hoopla stall at the- show was dm the capable hands of Mesdoim-es Froyberg and A. Bayly and they report that fliere will be a 1 nett profit to the funds of about. £l.l 10s. The committee wish.es to thank all who helped in any way to make this effort such a success.
