These characteristics make him an ideal horse for a dairying district, where mares are mostly of mixed breeding, and therefore quality and soundness are absolutely necessary in the sire, if the progeny are to stand the strain of trotting to a factory on hard road 3. Blue Peter’s breeding is of the veTy best, with a great record of soundness, and, of pure imported blood in every line, and he is almost a full brother to Morgiana, the champion mare at the 1926 Royal Show. He was awarded first prize as a yearling at Hawera and Masterton, first prize as a 2-year-old at Hawera. The family from which he comes has produced three wisners of the Union S.S. Co. Cup, in Silloth Lady, Sesame and Morgiana. His sire, Bonnie Dene, is the most successful breeding stallion in New Zealand to-day. At the three Royal Shows to date his stock have won the following prizes: 3 championships, 2 -reserve championships, 9 firsts, 5 seconds and 3 thirds. J. F. KING, Owner, ’Phone 925, Kaponga.
