The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s second day’s programme was run to-day. 'The weather was fine but windy. The course was fast. The attendance was fair. The totalisator investments were £40,247 10s, as -compared with £44,039 on the same day last year. Peter Bingen broke a world’s race record for a. mile and a quarter, winning the Free-For-All in 2min. _3B 4-ssee, the previous best time being -2min. 40 l-ssee. All the placed horses, even the fourth, broke the previous record. E. C.
