MR. HI.FLOP’S CANDIDATURE. FRASER RIO'AD AND TE ROT!. The United Party candidate for. the Patea seat, Air J. D. His.op, addressed electors at the Eraser Hoad School at 7 'o’clock last night, dealing: principal !y with taxation and the public debt. Several questions were answered and a vote of thanks, proposed' 'by Air J. MoMer and seconded by Air It. Smith,, was carried unanimously. Air Cfea.ver officiated as chairman of a meeting at Te Roti. Half., where \ further address was given by Air Hislop, commencing mt 8.30. The candidate devoted a. considerable portion of his remarks to finance matters, the races-' sity for increased production and the unemployment problem. After several questions liadi been answered, be was aceordled a; unaaumous vote of confidence on the motion of Air Barrett, seconded b v Air Salter.
