Speaking in support of the British Empire cancer campaign. Dr. Nor bury, medical officer of health at Holywell, declared: “Researches into human cancer are hampered by the want of material. We waste a great deal yearly bv hangings I sav it in all seriousness, wouldn’t it be possible for everyone condemned to death to receive the option of giving himself up for cancer research? They would have the choice of a. voluntary sacrifice, because 1 do not suppose there would he much left of them in five 'years.- Probably the suggestion will not he- considered seriously at present, but it is certain that! our descendants will eventually adopt some such plan.”
