SOUTH AFRICAN POLITICS.
REORGANISATION OF CABINET. THE PROBABLE PROCEDURE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph 1 Copyright.) —United Service).
Received 2.5 p.m., to-day. ' CAPETOWN, Nov. 4.
The Hon. Mr.. Madeley publishes a reply to General Hertzog in a stronglyworded letter in which he complains of cavalier treatment, alleging that he has been subjected to humility. These conditions had been growing more -marked and aggressive during the recent months and were forcing upon him the conviction that such an _ attitude was only intended, to make his continuance as a. member of the Cabinet impossible. It is expected that General Hertzog will formally resign to-morrow, immediately re-forming the Cabinet without Mr Made’ey. It is highly probable also that the Hon. Mr Creswell (Labour leader) will be shortly offered the "post of High Commisskmersliip at London, Mr Smit, the present holder of that office, having agreed to return to South Africa to .assume the administrationship of the Transvaal Province, Hindered vacant by the expiry of Mr Hofmeyer’s term.
