(From Our Own Correspondent). TENNIS 'SEASON OPENED. Despite the high wind .blowing yesterday afternoon, there vrm a good attendance or members of the Otakeho Tennis Club courts; at the opening ceremony for the season. The official opening waia performed by Mr L. S. Macksc, president of the club, who, in a happy speech, hoped members would 'have a pleasant time, and that the club’is •affairs would proisiper. Tbe court was in good order and a Yankee tourney was played, the competition being keen. The winners were Miss L. Pitt and Mr M. Paterson. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies'. The general arrangements were excellently made by the committee under the direction of the lion, secretary. Miss E. Surgenor.
