LONDON, Oct. 31. Air-Commander Samson, one of the most famous of war personalities and a pioneer of British naval flying, has been restored to full pay as from October 1. There was a surprise in 1927 when lie was placed on hall-pay, though he was then only forty-four. It is explained that no post was then available. The Germans, in the war time, offered a reward for his capture alive or dead.
