THE .MONTH'S WORK. The ordinary meeting of the Taranaki Land .Board was held on Wednesday, Thursday and' Friday. Present : Messrs, W. i). Arm it (elmirman), ~. ;>lare, C. .J. 1»• \an, i\. i(. Cleiamt and 111. A. Foreman. The follow.ng applications for land were- approved : Section .12_\ block -XL, Ivanpu,;onui survey district. Mrs.. H. K iii;; section 25, block XI. Alapara suney district, AV. Phillips. The following applications' to transfer were approved: Section (if), block XI.. tipunake survey district. A. H. Vure to .J. Al. Mitchell (Mib-lease); pare section JOT. I,lock .11., NgJi'l'O ,urvey district, T. McDonald To H. J. bird. The application to sublet sub. 1., ol section 22, block XV.. IVaupoUoniii surrey district from G. Lovell to A. Audreoli was refused. The following applications for gracing rights were approved : l. F. Stokes suti. 35, 37. ;s<). J) 13 and 47 of section 37. town of N.awera. 4be application ol Mr. L. Old tor Hie graz.ng rights for a term of sections 1 to 12, block LI., town of Wait-urn West was refused, a temporary right being approved Proposals for the expenditure of thirds by the Egmont County Council were approved. Thirty-four applications under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act were considered, and of these two applications for stock and improvement advances were recommended, two applications for exemption from residence were approved, and one application to transfer was recommended. Forty-seven applications under the Deteriorated Landis Act were considered and various recommendations were made in regard to reduction in capital value, the reclassification of land, remission of rental and purchase of seeds manures and farming materials.
