* (From Our Own Correspondent.) TENNIS CLUB. The tennis club’s official opening o the season was postpones o,\v;ng to the Awatuna club holding its function The local club promises to be stronger this season. It is intended to treat the surface of the new court and retar and sand the old court, providing the foundation will warrant it. CHURCH AFFAIRS. The superintendent, Mr. S. W. Bailey, and the teachers of the United Sunday School are preparing' for the anniversary services, and the Anglican Ladies’ Guild 1 have been very brst sewing and preparing generally for their annual fair, which will lie held shortly.
