An attempt to make the air age :t reality is benmd a lar-reaching scheme ot rape! development ot civil aviation in Britain revealed by the “Daily .express.'’ A company on a large stale will presently be floated, headed t>y Captain F. E. Guest, former Air Minister, and containing prominent ngures in aviation, with the Air Ministry taking a Lve interest. Aiming to embrace every conceivable branch of aviation, the . company will undertake air taxi work and a widespread scale ot joy-riding and trips to holiday resorts. It may also take over 18 " existing private aeroplane clubs and establish upwards of oO new instruct.onal clubs in the cities and towns, and upwards of 15u fully equipped aerodromes in systematic chains covering all the Hying routes in the kingdom. The machines wiil be largely standardised, thereby reducing the cost. Briefly the plans visualise a Britain ot the immediate future whose ' citizens will take the air as they now take the roads. '
