MOTH AEROPLANE.
ARRIVES IN HAWERA. At 10.43 this morning Air. Douglas Mill, of Aucklandi, arrived at the Hawera racecourse, after a somewhat boisterous trip from Wanganui. Air. Mill, who had with him as passenger Mr. S. A. Gibbons, of Wanganui, left Westmere at 9.45, and, running into a very heavy head-wind, the journey occupied almost an hour. The machine made a perfect landing. Alembers of the newly-formed Aero 1 Club of New Plymouth, were at the course to meet the flier, and. conveyed him by motor to Bell Block, in order to inspect suitable grounds where it is proposed to erect an aerodrome. Air Mill stated to a “Hawera Star” reporter that he would probably leave Hawera. on his return to Wanganui this afternoon at about 4.30. If the wind and other climatic conditions were not favourable at the hour mentioned, the return would not- be made until to-morrow morning.
