Charles William Wahle, a man with several aliases, escaped from the local gaol this morning while awaiting trial bn charges' of breaking and entering and false pyetences. ALLEGED BREAKING AND ENTERING. AUCKLAND, Oet. 23. Thieves ransacked the bottom of Sargoocl, Sob'and Even's factory last night and stole £3O and did much damage to stock. When Constable Putt saw two men with large parcels near the premises he b-avb ’chase. One man struck the constable and escaped, but the other man was taken into custody, having goods in Iris possession alleged to have been stolen from the factory. I Charged with breaking and entering this morning, Buke John Christian, ao-ed 27, was remanded till October 28.
