INDIAN MOTHERS USE OPIUM. LONDON, Oct. 20. (limp'd Press Association—By Electric loleirrapb Copyright.) —United Service). ‘‘A serious evil in Bombay is mothers doping their babies with opium,” declared Air O. F. Andrews, addressing the Society for the Suppression of Opium. Some Indian Government committees of inquiry were doing excellent work, but one member was deeply involved in the opium trade and badybought bis son an opium shop. The Viceroy bad almost induced the native . rulers to ba.n opium production.
