An American, Edward Miles, aged 49, has arrived from New York in a thirty-seven foot schooner, Sturdy, which he navigated single-handed. The trip took 44 days. He came via the Azores, to which lie was driven by vicious weather. tie intends circling the globe via Japan, Hawaii and Panama.
