LOSS OF STOCK NOT AS SEVERE AS EXPECTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Oct. 11. The heavy rain which fell yesterday has quenched the scrub and log fires. An inspection of properties affected reveals that the _stock losses were much less severe than expected. The loss in feed and fences is considerable.
