FIRE.
HOUSE DESTROYED DURING GALE. (Bv Telegrapli—Press association.) OAMARU, Oct. 10. A. six-roomed residence at livingstone, owned by Mr J. Mackenzie, was completely destroyed by fire yesterday. The blaze being fanned by a gale tlicbuilding was quickly engulfed in flames. The outbreak was caused by the wind staving in the kitchen window, strong gusts blowing the fire from the range. Nothing was saved. The house was insured, but the furniture was not covered.
