. Innocently enough a. Wellington resident played a rare joke on the Blenheim Fire Brigade the other morning. About 7.40 a.m. he rang up Mr. It. Y. Bytnell. who is superintendent of the brigade, but the previous night’s gale had twisted the wires somewhere, and instead of ringing Mr. Bvthell’s telephone bell, the electric impulse from Wellington set iji operation the automatic alarm system installed in every fireman’s residence. The brigadesmen turned out and made helter-skelter for the fire station, only to ascertain the real cause of the alarm. DO YOU DREAD YOUR MEALS ?
