PEDIGREE JERSEYS.
HAWERA CLUB FAIR TO-MORROW. A FINE ENTRY. The Jersey clubs of Taranaki were formed with a view to raising the standard of the- breed by stimulating competition and encouraging farmers -to breed the best animals and to show them in -as good a. condition as possible. In this the Hnwora Jersey Cattle Club lias taken -a -leading part and -the evidence of -this is the fact of its hol'ding an annual fair and -the care with which inspection of animals entered is carried through by the committee. These -efforts have been warmly appreciated by breeders and have been endorsed by the .success of the sales held by the club. The inspection is made -of -all -animals by well known- authorities and this ensures that all bulls -offered will be ot' high quality. The club’s fair -to-morrow at -the Glover Road salcyards will be the eighth it lias held. The entries -are good, -and no- less than seventy-nine fine young bulls will be offered on behalf of members.
Catalogues and all particulars may -be secured from the secretary of the club, AD- R. Me Cay, Nelson Street, or from the auctioneers, Farmers’ Co-op., Hawera, and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd. The sale will commence at 11 a.m. and luncheon will be availabcl -at the yards.
