CHEESEMAKERS’ BALL. A very successful ball under the auspices of the combined Matapu and Hunter Road cheesepunchers was held in the Matapu Hall last Wednesday night. Although the weather was not 'very favourable there was one of the largest crowds yet seen in the Matapu Hall, and a most enjoyable evening was experienced by all, the dancers carying on till 2.30 a.m. A very dainty and bounteous supper was provided by the committee, and numerous novelty dances were held during the evening, whilst Coburn’s Star Orchestra supplied first-class music, which was appreciated by. all. .Free cars ran from Eltham, Hawera and Kapohga, bringing merrymakers from all parts of the country. Mr. Jack Mickelsen carried out the duties of M.C.
