CAMP AT OHAWE, J\ Very business-like and exact is the scheme of work for the week-end camp at Oh awe conducted 1 under the direction of Mis® C. O’Rorke, Eagle Owl for the Dominion, who is conducting a series of “centres*’ in various parts of New Zealand, to further th© interests of tlu© Brownies.

The camp, to the number of twelve, increased' dming each day by visiting officers, went into residence on Friday afternoon and will break up on Tuesday'. Miss O’Rorks had the routine of camp life established in a. very short time with every detail arranged and duties allotted to every, member, covering all the .arrangements necessary to secure the best, results, and the members responded with alacrity and an enthusiasm born of her excellent example. The time-table of . work shows that the day begins at 6.30, with ithurie missions during: the course of the day' and for exercises adequate time being allowed for meals and also for an afternoon relaxation. The evening c,loss® at 9 o’clock, when all retire for the night. .. All: branches of work is being done that will .acquit the officers to better instruct their young charges in the ordinary course of op3rations. An example of this was the very good work done in moulding of leaves, and! other natural specimens in plasticine’. A fair proportion of time is devoted to singing of songs and hymns, arid to telling of storiete that are of interest to the district, natural and recorded history. all very useful training of the mind!.

Yesterday’ there was quite a large number of visitors, and those interested are welcomed. All who paid a visit yesterday were delighted with the thoroughness and .the efficiency of the training being given a.t the camp by the instructress.
