AVOMEN’S DIAIJSION. LECTURE AND GARDEN PARTY. The’ work of the women’s division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union in South Taranaki continues to progress, and in this connection the series' of lectures on nursing given at the Hawera Public Hospital is being much appreciated. At yesterday’s lecture Sister Farquhar " demonstrated how to fix a' broken limb suitable for safe carrying of a. patient to the doctor. She also demonstrated bandaging work and how to stop bleeding. There were 11 members present at the lecture, and thanks were accorded to Sister Farquhar hy Mrs. Carter, the president of the division. The division will bold a garden pn.rtv at. Mr. H. Betts’s residence, “Holly Bank,” Okaiawa, on Labour Day.
