The Secretary of the New Zealand Labour Partv announced to-day that AH. Morgan Williams, (farmer, had I been selected as candidate for the Mid-Canterbury electorate. Mr. J. S. Montgomery, Tanner, would be the Labour candidate for Thames. ( TRANSPORT BOARD FORMED. AUCKLAND, Sept. 21. A conference of the City Council and representatives of the suburban local bodies agreed on the formation of a. transport hoard for the control of passenger traffic. Steps will be taken to secure legislation to bring the hoard into force.
