At a meeting of the Wair'arapa Cricket Association at Master-ton on Wednesday evening ‘a letter was received from the New Zealand Cricket Association asking support in bringing an English team to- the Dominion in the 1929-30 season. Tlhie Wa.i/rarapa Association considered a visit from Australia more beneficial to cricket, bnt in the event of an English team corning it suggested that professional English players now in the Dominion should be included in the personnel. This would not entail so much expense, as less men would need to make the tour.
