WANGANUI CLUB. LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. A number of Hawera lady players have entered for the annual g.°, championships in Wanghnui, which com men cod yesterday and (*Oll- - on Saturday. In the qualifying rounds, Miss Gambrill (Miramar) easily headed the list with a good score of 181, the noxt< I lest* being Mrs. Forlong and Miss Sangster. 394. Miss Hawben, of HaIvera, qualified with 204. Miss E. Burgess, of Hawera, qualified for the handicap match with 212. Miss Gambrill won _ the medal match, in the morning with a net 82, and Mrs. Davidson won the afternoon match. , #
