FAVOURABLE PROSPECTS.

START TO-NIGHT PROBABLE
(By Telegraph—Special to The Star.)
WELLINGTON, Sept. S. Since August 8, when conditions in the Tasman were nearly idjaal, there has not been so favourable’ an outlook for the aviators, as Dr. Kidson was able to indicate to your correspondent to-day. Time: is a slight depression approaching the South Island and the weather is unsettled on the West Coast though: the .ranges are clear. There are still fairly strong west to southwest winds. “We. expect that_the depression will cross some time this afternoon o.r to-night and that the weather will! improve and the winds be moderate bv 'to-morrow, when it will be fair to fine, so that I think the avi.nitors are almost certain to start tij-night,” he said.
