The infliction of a small penalty by the Magistrate' on a stock owner for allowing diseased' stock to wander on the- roads was brought up at the meeting of the Rawer a Ooiiiutv Council today and produced from, the chairman die i:ema.rk that the local bodies were doing all possible to keep the roads clear and ;i,t must be pointed out to magistrates that the nuisance must cease.
