To the resignation of Mr E. E. Hammond, chairman of the executive of the United Political Party, can be- added those of the .party’s honorary treasurer, and of T. Lisle, who has been organising the Wellington seats for the newparty, reports our Wellington correspondent. Mr. B. C. Bennett, who is travelling with the All Blacks, has cabled his partner, Mr. F. W. Sutton, stating that he was sailing; from Capetown with the team yesterday, and was looking forward to his return home after experiencing a “great time.” A Press Association message from [Dunedin reports the death of Mr George Alfred Wiatkins, a Crimean "War veteran, aged 96 yeans.
