The Empire Parliamentary party conferred with the officials of the western Canada wheat pools and gleaned much information regarding the operation ox the pool and its marketing plans for the Canadian crop. They were much impressed and Mr Rhodes (New Zealand) paid a high tribute to the organisation. The Government of Manitoba entertained the visitors at dinner at which Mr Prowse made on© of the principal addresses. He said the big problem refore the outlying parts ox the Empire was to get an adequate market for pi-oduce. He felt that, with this need met, the task of peopling the vacant acres would be easily accomplished. He stressed the necessity for ocmplete union between the various parts of the Empire. Mr Rhodes said he believed that the mineral wealth of Canada would be developed to a -far greater extent in the future whereby he foresaw prosperity, not only for Canada, but the entire Empire. Viscount Peel isaiid that he bad no personal knowledge of the conditions, bait he felt it the proper time for an investigation to be held and the charges aired thoroughly.
