A motion to -hold further conferences of the New Zealand acclimatisation societies in a different centre each year, conferences to extend over Two days, was defeated. It was thought better to hold the conference in Wellington, as it enabled any deputation to see the Minister. - The conference 'decided against issuing part-season fishing license's on the grounds that if the sport was not worth £1 a season it was worth nothing at all. The part season fisherman came in at the peak and took the best, of the fish.
