The pollution of cream in can® standing bcwide the roml has caused some anxiety to Koitaia dairy companies recently. A sequel was beard in the Krutaia 'Polioo Ocyuirt on Saturday, before Mr. J. H. Imxford, S.M., when John Pikeri.. a lad of 16, was charged with wilfully nollutiug cream in a can belonging to Mrs. Meffin of Pamapuiria, bv dropping dirt therein. The police said th-iS was not the first occurrence. The offence had caused considerable trouble and loss, as the pollution was not discovered until the cream was tipned into the vat at the factory. Owing to the youth of accused, the magistrate said he would be lenient. The boy was ordered to pay costs, and come up' for sentence an 12 months.
