AMERICAN FLIERS.
FOUND IN GREENLAND. BY UNIVERSITY EXPEDITION. MEN JN GOOD HEALTH. (United Association—-By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) NEW YORK, Sept. 3. Bert Hassell 1 and Parker Cramer, the aviators who were believed to have been lost with their ’‘plane, the Greater Rockford, when on route to Stockholm from Rockford, TilHinois., were discovered alive and well iby members of the University of Michigan Green expedition, states «■ message from Mount .Evans, Greenland.
Tlhe fliers, who were driven from their course by a sto'nn, were forced to descend at the Sukkertoppen Ice Ann on August 19, whereafter they set out on foci:, for civilisation, rationing each with eight ounces of pern mi can daily. By the merest coincidence Eskimos sighted a distress fir© signal started byT the fliers, and reported to the University expedition. The news was received exclusively by the “New York Times” within two minutes of the rescue.
