LORD HALDANE’S WILL.
REQUESTS TO UNIVERSITIES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. Aug. 29. The will of the late Lord Haldane is notable for a bequest of £IOOO to the Goettingen University. Late in his life,, at a gathering in England, lie referred to the spiritual influence which a, eartain* great man at that university bad upon him. This remark appears tq, have been misinterpreted, Haldane being reported m having spoken of Germany as his spiritual, home. As is well known, he suffered much unpopularity during tlie late war m consequence. ■ . jy,:,i'd Haldane, makes bequests also to the Edinburgh University, Bristol University and other educational institutions.
