Oil behalf of the City Football Club’s Insurance Fund, a very successful dance was held in the Savoy Roomslast night, organised by Mesdames Foster, On nun ane and Jackson. The result will be a welcome addition to the fund. There was a good attendance and music was supplied by Butler’s orchestra', while Mr R>. Morrissey was an efficient M.O. Various competitions were held, blie> result of the calculation, for the trousseau being a inn for Mrs E. W. Oa.vter (429 correct), with Mr Lindsay Brown, second. 430, and Mrs R. Fergusosn third with 431. The waltzing was won bv Mr A. Elgar and Miss Oliver, with Mr Feaver and Miss L. Brown second; the lucky dance by Mr J. Jackson and partner; Mopte Carlo by Mr Telfar and partner. ' The judges of the waltzing were Mr H. Gillespie (Wanganui), and Mr O. Penn. The executive of the club is very appreciative of the- effort, of the promoters of the dance.
