The Roll Telephone laboratories have demonstrated their new sunlight television apparatus, which showed several, full-length, figures as they moved about ail area rpugh ly the size of a, boxing ring. previous television had been restricted ,to recording not more than the head and shoulders of one individual. pt the latest demonstration, a man .served tennis balls, drove a golf ball, and'boxed with a companion on the roof of the laboratories, and on another floor every action was shown in perfect detail on the screen. The television images were as clear as the average -moving .picture. pChe new 1 apparatus makes use of sunlight in picking up the image it trtunlxMts, instead of the powerful beam: of artificial -light previously used, which bad to be'so strong that it -\va® uncomfortable to the subjects of the experiment. , A photo-electric cell ,f:a.r more sensitive than those used before made operation by sunlight possj^Je.'
