The following officers were elected by the Technical ° Schools conference at Wellington yesterday.—President, Mr. H S W. King (Auckland), vice-presi-dent, Mr. J. H. Reed (Invercargill); secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. G. Park (Auckland); executive, Messrs. W. M. Luxford (Wanganui), McGregor Wright (Christchurch), T. Scott (Dunedin). , The New Zealand Meat Producers Board lias drawn attention to tlie number of ram lambs that were being sent to freezing works for slaughter. It was recognised, the letter stated, that a certain number of these lambs were inevitable, but they had been passed by *the board’s supervising graders for export, being graled second quality, but last year the number received by some freezing works had been considerably in excess of previous years. The board was concerned as to the detrimental effect these lambs had on the Dominion’s second class lambs, for the importance of keeping up the high quality of the lambs should be the concern of every sheepfarmer.
