AGREEMENT ON TRIBUTE SYSTEM.

GREY,MOUTH, Aug, 23. Thirty to forty miners, members of the State Miners’ Union and employed at Brian dale colliery, refused to work, following a dispute over the dismissal of .three men whom the management regarded as inefficient. A conference held at Paparoa between representatives' of the tribute party now working the mine and the representatives of the Alliance of Labour resulted in the tributers lieing no* longer declared “black.” but would be put on the same footing as other coast co-operative parties. A conferenc is. to he held between representatives of all co-operative? parties with the Alliance of Labour to arrange a, comprehensive agreement.
