LATEST USE FOR ’PLANE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph . Copyright.) —United Service). LONDON, Aug. 23. Seeing a soldier, who was suspected of a serious charge, outdistancing detectives in a cross-country chase near the 'Clacton aerodrome, Captain Edwin Jones, who was piloting a .passenger aeroplane, joined in the pursuit. The aeroplane nose-dived and forced the >m'an to lie flat. As the passengers were becoming nervous Captain Jones returned to the aerodrome, dropped them and returned to the chase. Captain Jones again dived at the running man and kept him lying on t'he ground nnt.il the exhausted defectives arrived.
“If he had not ducked I would, have knocked his head off,” said 'the pilot.
