HOSPITAL RADIO FUND.

IvAPONGA DISTRICT.

Owing to various meetings and entertainments being held at K'aponga last night it Was not possible to proceed with the meeting called to consider the proposals of the honorary organiser of the Hospital lla'dio • Fund. The regular meeting of the Town Board was in progress and the organiser and a deputation from the iceutrlal committee Waited upon the board meeting and received a most courteous reception. After a brief explanation of the method proposed to collect funds made by the organiser and members of the deputation the board expressed sympathy with the movement and it was arranged that. further opportunfilty would be taken to consider the matter. The board was thanked for its consideration and thanks were also expressed to the local Oddfellows /Lodge for granting the use of .its hall. The visitors returned to Ha we ra well pleased with the evidence that the fund would .be well supported in Kaponga and distract.
